Posted by staff alexander on Jun 9, 2016 11:30:00 AM

What’s it really like to live and work in Sweden? It’s an important question and not exactly an easy one to answer as there is a lot more to life than the cold numbers of GDP and economic statistics. Fortunately, The Better Life Index, an OECD initiative, allows you to compare well-being across 36 countries, based on 11 vital topics in the areas of material living conditions and quality of life.

The better Life Index

The index offers fascinating insights into what matters most to people, both in Sweden and around the world, based on the views of over 80,000 users.

So what matters most to people in Sweden?

Life Satisfaction, is the answer, or at least the highest rated topic. This visual representation shows how Swedes rank Sweden ranks on other key areas.

Sweden also scored very well on Social inequality (ranked 11th of 36 countries).
